The best vistas of North Wales
The main draw to North Wales is the staggering scenery and glorious views, so with that in mind, we’ve compiled ten of our favourite local vista-points. We thoroughly recommend that you hit these spots and make the most of what this amazing part of the world has to offer. These are all accessible by a short drive, from hotels in snowdonia.
1. Caernarfon Castle from across the harbour

This one is easily accessible as it’s just a short walk away! The shot of the great castle, twinned with its glistening visage in the reflection, taken from across the harbour’s water makes for a glorious sight indeed.
2. Llandudno from the Great Orme

After a stroll to the summit of the majestic Orme, you are treated to panoramic views, not least the view over Llandudno as it faces the sea in defiance.
3.Harlech Castle

This ancient fortification built prominently on top of a crag in the centre of the town holds a commanding stance high above.
4.Llanddwyn, Anglesey

A real treasure, Llanddwyn is supposedly the most romantic place in Wales. Here there is the old ruin of an abbey atop a small and gorgeous island.
5.Summit of Snowdon

The king of Welsh views, after conquering the great peak of Snowdon you are rewarded with a staggering view of the surrounding countryside and mountain ranges.
6.Menai Bridge
Linking Anglesey to mainland Wales is this gorgeous bridge that crosses the Menai strait. This image of the bridge in front of the mountains of Snowdonia is a local favourite.
7.Cwm Idwal

This celebrated reserve area is surrounded on all sides by mountains, and in the centre lies a glossy blue lake.
8.South Stack Lighthouse
