The 12th annual Rail Ale festival is set to take place on May 20th to 22nd 2016. It’s all set to be another fantastic concoction of real ales, glorious steam trains, talented live music acts and of course, the unrivalled North Wales scenery.
Previous events have seen over 100 real ales on offer, ensuring that there is a plethora of real, craft, micro-brewed and quality ales available. Live musicians will be ensuring that the event has a fantastic atmosphere, while the steam engines set to be displayed will be looking their best.
We at the Black Boy Inn are very happy to announce that we will be are one of the local inns taking part and sponsoring the event, some come on down and support the event.
There will be regular steam-hauled trains in service that will be offering the best trips across the glorious Snowdonia scenery. You could for example, enjoy a trip through the Aberglaslyn Pass that takes riders along to Porthmadog!
Past events have gone down incredibly well with visitors and many return year after year to enjoy the occasion. The event can be enjoyed in the medieval town of Caernarfon that enjoys plenty of activity and flow of visitors thanks to its landscape, local establishment and of course, the mighty Caernarfon castle.
The event takes place at the Welsh Highland Railway on St Helens Road, Caernarfon, LL55 2YD and welcomes you to come and enjoy wide selection of real ales, ciders and locally brewed lagers among the fantastic live music and excellent steam trains.
